Printagonist
Stephen Goddard is associate director, senior curator and professor emeritus at the Spencer Museum of Art, University of Kansas. He has served as president of the Print Council of America and has curated about 50 exhibitions, most recently these include "Trees & other Ramifications: Branches in Nature & Culture;" "Cryptograph: An Exhibition for Alan Turing;" and "Big Botany: Conversations with the Plant World." In the print world he is probably best known for his work on the PCA online "Index to Print Catalogues Raisonné" and his exhibitions "The World in Miniature, Engravings by the German Little Masters, 1500-1550" and "Les XX and the Belgian Avant-Garde: Prints, Drawings, and Books, ca. 1890." He is also a trained printmaker, a photographer and is currently investigating the prints of the Belgian artists Albert Baertsoen and Walter Vaes.
